- No DBNO all MP gamemodes, minus Grenadier in Overrun also no executions or DBNO-gamemodes
- No Locust in MP
- Only ONE primary for MP, no Gnasher AND Rifle, choose one... can switch out snub for second primary through in-game
- Gnasher = only 8 shells
- Frags can be tagged when tossed like plasma grenades
- Can jump from two-story buildings like in FPS games
"Epic Points"
"There was also something referred to by the name of "Epic Points" on the screen, but it wasn't something Epic was ready to talk about yet. It may go by a different name when it arrives, but fooling with it, I was able to "buy" double XP for the round. I couldn't tell if this in-game currency could be freely acquired or would transaction based entirely. Again, Epic was mum on it."
Campaign gameplay feature - Declassified Scenarios
"As each character relates his or her experience, you're given the chance to run a "declassified" version of the mission—which is essentially the same story segment run against a more complicated difficulty. For example, completing an operation in a pre-set time before a Hammer of Dawn strike occurs. Or finishing it with Locust weapons only, in defiance of COG orders, or discovering new variants of Locust foes that your witness relates to the tribunal"
Campaign gameplay feature - Variation in Character Dialogue
"That variability grew out of the fact that they knew people would die a lot (in campaign)," said Tom Bissell, who along with Rob Auten co-wrote the story and dialogue for Gears of War: Judgment. "They didn't want people to keep hearing the same **** over and over after they died and went back into the game."
"What was happening, as I was dying repeatedly, is that the game was cycling to dialogue options in the other characters more than it was in Cole. In another playthrough, it's likely I would have heard him more, talking about the wine cellar he'd made for his home as a Thrashball star before enlisting."
Introduction of Smart Spawn System(AI Director referred to by EPIC as S3)
"Combat in the campaign mode moved largely from wave attack to wave defense to set piece, but again, thanks to a directorial AI that changed enemy spawns, never in the same way." This basically just means that enemies will randomly spawn, there is no '3 boomers are here, 2 grenadiers there' everytime you play through the level. You may have a boomer there this time, but maybe next time its a pack of tickers or a group of wretches.
Campaign gameplay feature - Dynamic Defence Scenarios - [HORDE MODE INSPIRED].
"These are essentially Horde mode segments placed within campaign, as you grab ammo, weapons and set up automated-weapon turrets before waves of enemies come crashing in. Just to make things more interesting, there are fresh combinations of enemies generated on the fly throughout Gears Of War: Judgment, not just in these scenarios."
Introduction of Red and Blue COG Teams, removal of locusts.
"DelHoyo said fans didn’t love playing as the locusts, so they took them out of the competitive game, and replaced them with red and blue COG teams."
Return of Dedicated Servers
"For the multiplayer, dedicated servers are back."
Interactive Enviroments
"There are also interactive environments in each map, including a secret bookcase in the library that players can find and utilize."
Description of Main Antagonist and Mount- General Karn & Shibola
"One of the new Locust characters is General Karn. He’s the conductor of Emergence Day. He’s the guy leading the charge...There’s a backstory with him. He’s a malformed Theron guard. You’ve got these big guys that were the Queens protectors and he’s that type of guy who wasn’t big enough to fight hand-to-hand or anything, but he just evolved and used his wits as a master planner and master general with military combat. He rides this beast called Shibola and the backstory there is that he found this thing when he was young and feeble and an outcast himself and it had a broken leg. He was smart enough to retrofit it with this kind of tech that allowed it to move and now they’re in a symbiotic relationship. He rides this thing and it’s a crazy boss creature"
Female Onyx Guard & Return of Tai
"Free-for-all will offer a range of loadouts involving one long weapon (a shotgun, Lancer or sniper), a sidearm, and then a grenade choice, which can be the aforementioned beacon or stim grenades as described in Overrun, to other offensive varieties. The skins I saw were the four members of Kilo squad, Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago; a male and female Onyx soldier, Anya Stroud, Alex Brand and Tai Kaliso in a jungle outfit."
